Our Divisions
According to the December 2007 Montgomery County Resident survey, parks are the most visited public amenities in the County. They are also one of the most highly valued. Eighty-six percent (86%) of the respondents reported visiting a park at least once in the past 12 months. Extrapolated, that equates to more than 800,000 county residents visiting our parks on an annual basis, and most visit more than once.
With millions of visits each year, parks staff work hard to ensure your parks provide the best park experience possible. To accomplish this, the Department of Parks is organized into multiple divisions and management areas. These include:
