Easily accessible from downtown Washington, Bethesda and Northern Virginia, Rockwood Manor offers unique opportunities for both business and social events. Built in the 1920s, the Manor was the former country estate of Carolyn Gangwer Caughey (pronounced "coy"). Nestled in 30 acres of woods and steps away from the C&O Canal, Rockwood Manor offers its guests a secluded and natural venue to meet and socialize

With overnight lodging for over 100 people, Rockwood Manor is the ideal location for destination weddings, multi-day business retreats or training sessions, family reunions, or language immersion programs and other events. Overnight accommodations include ten hotel-style guest rooms and three climate-controlled cabins. Click here to view the various spaces. Business Meetings

With six meeting rooms, Rockwood creates the perfect center for your next business meeting or retreat. The variety of rooms and layouts allows for gatherings as large as 125 and break-out sessions as small as 4. Rockwood is Wi-Fi enabled and carries all the audio-visual equipment you need for your event. Relax with your colleagues afterwards in rocking chairs on the brick veranda surrounded by beautiful greenery.

Weddings and Social Events

Rockwood is ideal for indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions. Ceremonies may be held outdoors in Rockwood’s picturesque gazebo tucked into the manicured garden and bowling lawn or inside in Brooke Hall with its soaring ceiling, wooden beams and panoramic view. Follow the ceremony with cocktails on the brick veranda or flagstone terrace. Dine and dance with your guests in the elegant Hoover and Caughey rooms. The Manor can accommodate up to 130 people indoors and, with a tent, up to 200 people outdoors. Rockwood is also the perfect place to host holiday parties and to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs and graduations.
