Dog Parks in Montgomery County

M-NCPPC Montgomery Parks operates five dog parks throughout the county. These facilities are popular meeting spots and exercise areas for local dog owners and their canine friends.

Permits are required for the use of all dog parks managed by M-NCPPC Montgomery Parks. This permit will allow you and your dog(s) access to all M-NCPPC Montgomery Parks dog parks located in Cabin John Regional Park, Olney Manor Park, Black Hill Regional Park, Ridge Road Recreational Park, and Wheaton Regional Park—five at present, with the possibility of more to come. Currently permits are available for annual usage. Please remember that all dogs should be on a leash before entering and exiting the park.

Black Hill Regional Park Dog Park

Black Hill Regional Park
Located on Picnic Lane in Black Hill Regional Park, this half-acre dog park is fully enclosed with a 6-foot chain link fence, allowing dogs to run and exercise off-leash. Dogs must display current licenses and rabies vaccination tags, be older than four months and have a valid dog permit. The facility is open for use sunrise to sunset. Please remember that all dogs should be on a leash before entering and exiting the park.

Cabin John Dog Park

10900 Westlake Drive, Bethesda, MD.
Cabin John Regional Park
Located near the miniature train in Cabin John Regional Park, this half-acre dog park is enclosed with a 6-foot chain link fence, allowing dogs to run and exercise off-leash. The facility is open for use sunrise to sunset except on Tuesdays from 9AM-11AM for weekly park maintenance. Dog-park users are encouraged to use the Westlake Drive parking lot. Please remember that all dogs should be on a leash before entering and exiting the park.

Olney Manor Dog Park

Olney Manor Recreational Park
Located near ballfield No. 4 in Olney Manor Recreational Park, this 1-acre dog park features separate play areas for both large and small dogs. The dog park is completely fenced, providing opportunities for off-leash exercise and play. The facility is open for use sunrise to sunset. Please remember that all dogs should be on a leash before entering and exiting the park.

Ridge Road Dog Park

Located in Ridge Road Recreational Park, this half-acre dog park is enclosed with a 6-foot chain link fence, allowing dogs to run and exercise off-leash. The facility is open for use sunrise to sunset. Please remember that all dogs should be on a leash before entering and exiting the park.
