The four nature centers of Montgomery County Parks offer a variety of interesting, educational and fun programs for individuals (adults and children) and families all year round. Hike with an interpretive naturalist and learn more about nature's hidden treasures. View special exhibits and displays in our visitors' centers. Group programs are offered for schools, scouts and other organized groups.
Black Hill Visitor Center
Black Hill Visitor Center, located in Boyds, Maryland, offers a wide variety of special events and programs. See beaver lodges in the park, take a discovery walk to identify and gain an appreciation of native plants. more
Brookside Nature Center
Nestled within Wheaton Regional Park, Brookside Nature Center offers hands-on, naturalist-led educational experiences for organized groups and the general public. The pioneer homestead, wildlife viewing areas, self-guided trail, accessible interpretive boardwalk, and native landscape gardens add to the center's uniqueness. On-site exhibits showcase local natural and cultural history. more
Locust Grove Nature Center
Locust Grove Nature Center is located in Bethesda. Come to explore a young hardwood forest, Cabin John Creek, and two different meadows, which host butterflies, beetles, bats and bluebirds. Hike the Cabin John Trail or shorter loop hikes around the center or explore the Nature Play area. Participate in our varied nature programs offered to children, adults and organized groups. more

Meadowside Nature Center, located in Rockville, offers a wide variety of interesting programs and special camps, including the popular earth science, merit badge and extreme nature camps. While you're there, visit

Agricultural History Farm Park
The Agricultural History Farm Park located in Derwood is a 410-acre complex with a farmhouse, barn and other farm buildings, and an activity center. A portion of the farm has been set aside to depict historic life on a farm. The Farm Park hosts seasonal festivals depicting farm life, both past and present. more
