Come celebrate your child's birthday at Meadowside
Every birthday party at the Nature Center includes:
- 1 hour interpretive program presented by the park naturalist including an age appropiate craft.
- A Meadowside Nature Center coloring book and crayons for all participants.
- Time to explore the Nature Center
How to plan your party
- Pick a Date and Time
Pick at least two or more dates to celebrate. We can book up to 6 months in advance. It is always good to have at least two or more dates and times in mind when booking.
NOTE: Parties are held only on Saturdays and only at the following times.
- Morning birthday 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- Afternoon birthday 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Pick a Theme
We offer four different themes to meet the age and interest of your child. Party themes include:- Scutes and Scales: Reptiles and Amphibians
Suggested Ages: 3 and up.
Discover the world of reptiles and amphibians by meeting some of Meadowside’s toads, snakes, and turtles and
then make a craft!
- Bugs Rule!
Suggested Ages: 3 and up.
Explore insects and bugs by meeting some of Meadowside’s live bugs, then guests make a crafty critter
of their own! - Birds of Prey
Suggested Ages: 6 and up.
Learn about the amazing adaptations of raptors and explore these birds up close along our Raptor Walkway.
Participants do an owl pellet dissection to learn about raptor feeding habits!

Before you book, please review our Party Guidelines to ensure that Meadowside Nature Center is the right place to have your party. Some general guidelines include:- Your child must be turning at least 3 years old.
- Birthday parties are limited to 20 children or less.
- Pinatas are not allowed inside or outside of the Nature Center.
- Only mylar balloons may be used.

NOTE: A nonrefundable payment in full is expected at time of reservation. Credit cards are accepted.- Fee: $225 with a program.
Party schedule example
An example for your child’s party might be:
- 9:30 a.m. Parents/guardians arrive and set up (may decorate)
- 10:00a.m. Guests arrive
- 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Nature Program
- 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Have party, eat cake, open presents, explore the Nature Center, and clean up
- 12:30 p.m. Depart from the Nature Center
